The Opportunity
 
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Financial Accountant to join one of Australia’s leading businesses. The company is ever-present at the forefront of their industry with a continued vision of further growth. 

If you are an experienced Accountant seeking an exciting new challenge, this is an excellent opportunity for you. You will work closely with the Financial Controller in a broad and dynamic role whilst also managing 1 direct report and  finance function.
  
The Challenge
  
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be a key member of the Finance team. Your responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

• Prepare monthly financial statements, reconciliations, and consolidated reporting
• Oversee accounts payable, receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities
• Manage tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, including BAS, FBT, VAT, and payroll tax
• Lead treasury, cash flow reporting, fixed assets, and audit processes
• Support senior finance leaders with reporting, policy, and technical accounting matters
• Mentor junior staff and contribute to process and policy improvements

The Expertise
  
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualification
• 5+ years accounting experience in group reporting role   
• Possibly, you have accounts experience in the media industry
• Analytically strong with excellent attention for detail
• Ability to work effectively under tight time frames
• A go-getter; ready & capable to take on initiative and responsibility 
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
