The Opportunity
Our client is a growing and highly respected boutique funds management business. With a broad platform spanning multiple investment classes and a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, they are seeking a Risk Manager to join their collaborative team in Melbourne.
This newly created role will support the Head of Risk & Compliance and play a key part in embedding and uplifting enterprise-wide risk processes. It represents a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation at a pivotal stage in its growth journey.
The Challenge
In this role, you will provide oversight and assurance across the organisation’s risk and control environment. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Implementation and ongoing enhancement of the enterprise risk management framework
- Supporting business units to identify, document and manage risks and controls
- Developing and executing a controls assessment and testing framework
- Monitoring and reporting on key risk indicators, trends and treatment actions
- Preparing analysis and updates for senior leadership and the risk committee
- Supporting operational resilience reviews and business continuity planning
- Driving continuous improvement across internal controls and risk culture
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- Demonstrated experience in risk management, compliance or internal audit within financial services, funds management or a related industry
- Strong understanding of risk frameworks, controls testing and governance reporting
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
- Experience with enterprise risk management systems will be highly regarded
- CIA, CRMA, FRM, PRM or equivalent risk/audit qualifications, with 3–6+ years’ relevant experience
