The Opportunity
This is brilliant opportunity to join one of Australia’s fastest growing companies. Operating in the F&B sector, the business has grown 40% YOY across the nation and is well capatilised for future growth. The ELT is highly regarded, as is the PE sponsor.
This is a unique opportunity for a finance leader to launch their career and grow with the business quickly.
You will have ownership of financial reporting, compliance and controls, tax, commercial finance and have several improvement and optimisation projects to dive into from the outset.
The Challenge
Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- The production of timely and accurate monthly financial statements and management reports
- Establish and maintain appropriate internal financial controls and risk management safeguards
- Manage the statutory taxation obligations, including preparing tax calculation work papers
- Monitoring day to day cashflow and treasury operations including banking relationships
- Oversee and drive processes for streamlining financial reporting
- Managing the relationship with external auditors and leading the annual audit process including the audit plan and timeline
- Effectively monitoring and communicating the group’s capital requirements and coordinating with CFO on funds flow
- Lead a high-performing finance team
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA, ideally Big4 or Mid tier-chartered accounting experience prior to your successful transition into industry
- Ability to be hands-on with proven experience driving financial performance across a team-oriented environment
- Superior financial reporting and technical accounting experience
- Experience in the development of internal controls and financial policies
- Excellent interpersonal skills with strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Previous experience working in hospitality, F&B or retail would be highly advantageous
