The Opportunity
An exceptional opportunity to step up into a Financial Controller role within a prominent, privately owned property group. My client has an impressive project pipeline with significant assets under management, the business is well regarded for its vision and values led culture. This role is well suited to a technically strong Finance Manager who has built a solid grounding ideally in property and professional services and is ready to take the next step in their career. With direct exposure to an experienced CFO and entrepreneurial stakeholders, this is a chance to grow, add value, and make a meaningful impact in a high growth, values driven environment.

The Challenge

Reporting to the CFO your key responsibilities will include the following:

• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high performance culture.
• Deliver accurate and timely statutory and management reporting, ensuring compliance and providing valuable insights for decision making.
• Oversee all direct and indirect tax obligations, ensuring compliance and minimising risk, including Division 7A requirements.
• Manage cash flow, project and management reporting to support the business and joint venture partners.
• Drive process improvements and system enhancements to strengthen efficiency and reporting capability.
• Provide technical guidance on accounting and structuring matters, while supporting the CFO and directors with analysis and projects that influence business direction.

The Expertise

Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:

• CA/CPA qualified with 10+ years’ experience.
• Trained in a Big 4 or mid-tier accounting firm with solid experience in tax compliance, structuring, and advisory.
• Strong background in property development or a related sector.
• Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to develop and mentor a team.
• Excellent technical knowledge, combined with strong commercial acumen.
• Systems-savvy, with ERP experience (Business Central advantageous).
