The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity for an experienced and commercially savvy Finance Manager to join a fast paced, high growth organisation backed by a reputable private equity firm. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller and working closely with the CFO, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing accounting operations, statutory compliance, and leading business improvement initiatives across finance functions. The business is experiencing both organic and acquisitional growth, creating a dynamic environment for a Finance Manager looking to take on diverse responsibilities, and make a visible impact. This role is particularly suited to candidates who have started their careers in professional services or advisory roles, and who thrive in environments that are fast moving, innovative, and forward thinking.
The Challenge
Reporting to the Group Financial Controller your key responsibilities will include the following:
- Lead and mentor a team of qualified and capable finance team, fostering a productive, high performance culture
- Oversee month end and year end reporting, cash flow management, and statutory obligations (GST, FBT, BAS, etc.)
- Provide insightful analysis and commentary to senior management to support decision making and business growth
- Drive business improvements, system enhancements, and process optimisations across the finance function
- Establish and maintain robust controls, documented procedures, and collaborative relationships with internal and external stakeholders
The Expertise
Please consider expressing interest in this position if you possess the following:
- CA qualified, ideally you commenced your career in leading professional services firm
- You have excellent technical accounting, statutory reporting and corporate tax experience
- Experience in the development and maintenance of internal controls and financial policies
- Proven financial controller experience in a complex, high growth environment
- Process improvement and change management experience
- Proven experience managing ERP systems and leading related projects and change initiatives.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong ability to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
