The Opportunity

Our client is a professional services firm with strong brand presence and ongoing growth. They are seeking a Finance Manager to take full ownership of financial reporting and core accounting processes while driving improvements across systems and ways of working. This role is highly hands on with direct accountability for month/year end, financial reporting, budgeting & forecasting, compliance, and day to day finance operations alongside leading a team.

The Challenge

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, including ownership of month/year end processes and management‑level financial insights.
• Support strategic financial planning activities, including budgeting and forecasting, in collaboration with senior leadership.
• Lead, coach, and develop the finance function, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
• Ensure adherence to relevant financial, tax, and regulatory requirements, maintaining strong governance standards.
• Oversee cash flow, working capital, and broader treasury‑related activities.
• Identify and implement improvements across financial systems, processes, and internal control environments.
• Partner with senior stakeholders across the organisation, providing commercial insight and financial decision support.
• Manage audit activities and contribute to enterprise‑wide risk management practices.

The Expertise

• CA or CPA qualified with strong experience in hands on financial reporting and financial control roles.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, including experience with IFRS/AASB.
• It’s likely that you have gained experience in a professional services environment, and this is your third or fourth career move
• Comfortable working at detail level while driving improvements in process and structure
• Able to communicate clearly with stakeholders and present financial information in a concise
